Dear parents/ carers,
Welcome back to a new school year.
I am delighted to have been appointed as the new
Headteacher of Dame Tipping C E Primary school.
Over the next few weeks, I hope to meet you all in
person. Until then, I thought I would introduce myself via letter.
I was educated in Havering, growing up in the Upminster
area and attending a Church of England secondary school in Romford before
completing my degree and teacher training in Surrey.
I began my teaching career in West Sussex, then moved to
Barking and Dagenham. I have spent the last 11 years as a teacher and school
leader in Tower Hamlets.
Myself and all of the staff at Dame Tipping will do our
very best to ensure that your child is happy, healthy and reaching their full
potential in school. You can help by ensuring that your child is in school
every day, on time and ready to learn and that you take all of your holidays
during the designated school holiday times.
At the beginning of term, Reception and KS1 parents are
welcome to take their children into classrooms at the beginning of the day. KS2
children should enter the classrooms unaccompanied. Once the children are
settled, Reception and KS1 children will be able to enter the classrooms by
themselves.
I hope that you and your child are happy with their
school life at Dame Tipping. However, if you do have any issues you wish
to discuss, please arrange to meet your child's class teacher after school in
the first instance. If it is an issue you wish to discuss with me, please make
an appointment to see me with Mrs Wakeman in the office.
I am very much looking forward to working in partnership
with you over the coming years.
Please
introduce yourselves when you see me.
With
kindest regards,
Mrs
Kathryn Waters
