Dear Parents/Carers of Class 1 (Year 5/6)

As part of our studies on Rivers and the Water Cycle this term, Class 1 will be surveying local streams within 2 miles of the school on Thursday 20th March.  The children will be registered at school as usual. We will leave promptly at 9am.
The whole day will be outdoors, walking on local paths (most likely muddy) in possibly poor weather. Therefore pupils are permitted to wear non-uniform.
Due to the water and mud in and around the streams, your child must wear wellies on the day to be able to carry out the survey.  Any child that does not arrive in wellies and a suitable waterproof coat will have to remain in school.  The whole day will involve a lot of walking and the possibility of rain and windy/cold conditions.  If you or your child are concerned about this then please contact me so I can make arrangements for your child to remain at school.
Please select your child’s lunch option below and complete the consent form attached, which needs to be returned to secure your child’s place.  The school can only accept consent forms fully completed.  Please note that staff are no longer able to remind parents who have not submitted trip forms or phone home on the morning of the trip.
Yours sincerely,

Mr R Evans
