21st March 2013

Dear Parents/Carers,

Please note that next term we have an additional training day following the usual one after the half term break. Therefore, school will finish on Friday, 24th May and begin again on Wednesday, 5th June.

Many girls like to wear school summer dresses in the warmer weather.
Traditionally these have been quite difficult to find in the yellow colour
required. However Matalan have six such styles available right now on special “3 for the price of 2” offers.

There will be a special roast turkey Easter Lunch on the last day of term (Thursday 28th March). Cheese and tomato pinwheel will be the other option.

As promised, we are delighted to let you know that our Comic Relief Red Nose Day raised a wonderful £209! Thanks again for your contributions.

19th March 2013

Dear Parents/Carers,

We would like to invite you to our school Easter Service held at St. John’s Church on the village green on:

Thursday, 28th March 2013

The service will begin at 2.00pm and all family and friends are
welcome. After the service, you may take your child home to begin their Easter holidays.

School will begin again on Monday, 15th April.

Thank you all so much for your ongoing support for the fundraising Lent Appeal to support the P.A.G.E.A.N.T. family in the Gambia and also for the wonderful response to our Comic Relief Red Nose Day last Friday. We will let you know the amounts raised at the end of the term.

Letter - 11th March 2013

11th March 2013
Dear Parents and Carers,

Cathy Forrester - our school nurse - has offered to come into school each month for a “Drop-In” to meet with any parent who would appreciate some confidential advice regarding their child’s health. The first date she has given will be on:

Wednesday, 27th March 2013 at 08.30 am

Year 5 Parents/Carers!

Jonathan Goodwin, the Senior School Admissions & Data Officer, has compiled a very short 3 question questionnaire on the Havering website that he is asking Year 5 Parents/Carers to complete:

www.havering.gov.uk/admissions

Every year the School Admissions Team discuss various options on how, where and when they would provide parents and carers with the information they need about the application process (which starts in September for the current Year 5 parents) and they are anxious to know your views.

This Friday is Comic Relief Red Nose Day! Children can wear something (anything!) red, bring £1 for the fund raising and enjoy a non-uniform day!

Finally, it was a big shock after last week’s spring-like weather to greet the return of the snow this morning! Please make sure that your child has plenty of warm clothing at this time of year, especially for playtimes, when the wind on the back playground can be fierce. As ever, should we have to close the school we would inform you as soon as possible by text, e-mail and on the blogspot:
