21st November 2012

Dear Parents/Carers,

If your child vomits or has diarrhoea, then
48hours is the required exclusion period
in the borough directive taken from the Department of Health Guidelines for
Prevention of Infection in Schools & Nurseries. You can see further information here:

http://www.hpa.org.uk/webc/HPAwebFile/HPAweb_C/1194947358374

It is important to remember that, although your child and all members of your
family may be fit & healthy (apart from the tummy bug) that is not the case for every child & family. Many children who attend school/nursery (or members of their families) may have a depressed or compromised immune system, or may have a
medical condition that makes a tummy bug much more serious for them than it is for others. What is a minor unpleasant inconvenience for your child could be a hospital admittance for one of these children.

Thank you for your understanding.

19th November 2012

Dear Parents/Carers,

This is a quick reminder letter that Sue, our school photographer, will be visiting the school on:

Friday, 23rd November

She will be here from 08.30 am onwards for the morning, so if you wish younger brothers and sisters not at school to have their picture taken, then please do bring them in from this time until 09.00 am. Sue will be taking individual and family group photographs.

The Friends of Dame Tipping will need the order forms back for “Secret Santa” by tomorrow, please. Donations for the Christmas Fayre will still be gratefully received.

If anyone is still packing a shoebox for the Samaritans purse, could we ask that they are brought in by the end of this week. You can also donate online at:

http://www.operationchristmaschild.org.uk/

Thanks to all who wore their nightclothes on Jim Jam Friday for *Children in Need*. We are delighted to tell you that we banked a cheque for £98!

Tuesday November 6th 2012

6th November 2012
Dear Parents/Carers,

We hope you all had an enjoyable half term break.

Please find attached leaflet about the “Firework Lunch”. As the children were not in school on
Monday, 5th November, this will now be served on:

Wednesday, 7th November 2012

After school clubs resume again this week, finishing on the week ending Friday, 30th November, as we prepare for the run up to a busy Christmas! The following clubs will change to accommodate children on a waiting list:

Monday Years 3/4 Hockey
Monday Years 5/6 Website
Wednesday Years 1/2 Computer
Thursday Years 5/6  Table Tennis

(Children in these clubs will receive a confirmation slip - other clubs will continue as before.)
Please bear with us as we embark on the last stages of our school building work. This will be an “external learning area” attached to Class 3C. Parking at the rear of the school - always difficult on the best of days - will be restricted to smaller areas for the next few days. Hopefully it will all have been worth it!

There is still time to send in your Christmas Shoebox! Details can be found on:
where you can also customise and send a box online!

The Friends of Dame Tipping would like to remind you that donations for the
Christmas Fayre - to be held at St. John’s Church Hall on Friday, 30th November
would still be very gratefully received at the school.

Yours sincerely,

V. A. Morris
