Dear Parents/Carers,

 LENT GAMES!

Throughout this half term, the children will be organising their own Lent Games to play at lunch times. Most games will cost around 20 pence per go and all money collected will be used to support our sponsored children in the Gambia. Last year we raised an amazing amount - enough to sponsor the two Bah brothers through school AND support their older sister through college. This left enough money to buy Christmas and birthday gifts for all three children and some equipment for their school.

The children enjoy receiving regular reports, messages and videos from the family through the agency “P.A.G.E.A.N.T.” - a small British charity supporting education in the Gambia.

Don’t forget “World Book Day” on Thursday! The children can come to school dressed as their favourite book character and donate £1 to the Lent Appeal.

Dear Parents/Carers,

Apologies for any confusion regarding an open afternoon.

The date was originally provisionally planned for today but after the snow disruption and Book Day happening next week, we now plan to hold this open afternoon on:

Thursday 15th March from 1.00pm

This will be an opportunity for you to visit your child/ren’s classroom and let them show you their work and show you around the school. You may then take your
child/ren home early should you wish.

Teachers and teaching assistants will be available for a quick chat BUT if you wish to speak further with your child’s teacher then please do telephone the office and we will be happy to make an appointment for you.

Dear Parents/Carers,

Due to the adverse weather conditions, we have decided to

CANCEL ALL CLUBS

just for this week. We hope to resume as normal after the half term break.

The area to the rear of the school has proved to be impossible to use safely as the freezing conditions have made the surface so icy. As so many parents are having to park at the front of the school while this continues, we will stagger the opening and closing times to try and avoid the congestion.

Until the end of this week, you may bring your children to school anytime up to 9.45 a.m. and collect from 2.15 p.m. in the afternoon.
